If you have an Amazon Echo Show, you will now be able to search, browse, pause, resume, and stream movies and TV series from Netflix, including Netflix Originals. Amazon announced the feature support in September, in conjunction with the debut of the Echo Show 10 (2020). Other streaming services, such as Hulu and Amazon’s own Prime Video, are supported with the Amazon Echo Show. And while the Netflix app for iOS and Android is Chromecast-enabled, the option was disabled for Google smart displays.īack in July, Google announced that Netflix was finally coming to the Google Nest Hub and Hub Max, complete with Quick Gesture support (meaning you can raise your hand to pause or resume a video).Īmazon announced last month that Netflix support was “coming soon” to its Echo Show smart speakers. You can watch Netflix on your smart display if you have an Amazon Alexa Echo Show. While Echo Show users could get Netflix to work on their displays by using the Silk browser, it was a clunky process. Until recently, Netflix was a holdout on all the major smart displays. While Netflix is now available on Portal TV worldwide, Facebook had nothing to say about Netflix arriving on any of its Portal devices that do have displays, including the Portal, the Portal Mini, and the Portal+. That said (and as opposed to traditional streaming set-top boxes), the Portal TV comes with an integrated camera and microphone for Messenger, WhatsApp, and (eventually) Zoom video calls, and with Alexa onboard, the device essentially turns your TV into a smart display. While the Nest and Echo smart displays are all-in-one devices with built-in displays, the Portal TV is more like a streaming device that you connect to your living-room TV. The device supports Alexa voice commands. Amazons screen-based audio systems are in great demand among consumers. The Echo Show 15 comes with a 15.6-inch screen and 5-megapixel camera and includes support for 1080p video streaming. Now, Portal TV isn’t a smart display in the same way that the Google Nest Hub or the Echo Show is. The Echo Show 5 (2019) has the same functions offered by Amazon's other smart displays - it can be used to listen to music streaming services, watch Netflix and Prime Video, but sadly not YouTube. Now, Netflix for the first time will now support Echo Show smart speakers with displays. The revamped remote is now shipping with new Portal TV devices, and it will arrive in stores in the “coming weeks,” according to Facebook. Now comes word that Netflix is bound for Facebook’s Portal TV Remove non-product link.įacebook says that a new Netflix app for Portal TV is available now, and it’s also unveiling a new remote with one-touch buttons for Prime Video, Facebook Watch, and (of course) Netflix. Netflix has been making the rounds of the major smart displays, debuting on the Google Nest Hub and Hub Max earlier this year and slated to arrive soon on Amazon Echo Show displays.

If you have multiple clips between markers then everything after the first clip is a ‘sub-clip’, and subsequent presses of that track/scene will cycle to the next ‘sub-clip’ in the scene. A scene is the first clip in the area that defines that scene. You still get cells with clips to trigger.įL also treats scenes a bit differently. Your tracks are still horizontal, but your columns are your “scenes” so to say. You can play these cells on their own or you can trigger a whole row (scene) to play multiple clips together.įLStudio rotates this by 90°. Each cell contains an audio or MIDI clip. In Session MOde a column represents a track, and a row represents a “Scene”. You are given a grid instead of multiple rows of tracks. In programs like Ableton Live you have what’s called “Session Mode”.
